What Are Mid-Face Treatments?
“Mid-face treatment involves treating the middle part of the face, so the cheek region. For me, it’s one of the key areas of the face to treat as it’s the biggest region we lose volume from as we age,” explains Dr Marcus.“As we age, we lose volume from our bones, from our fat, from our skin, and as those things lose volume, we get telltale signs of ageing on the surface of the skin.”
Why Mid-Face Treatments Are Important
Restoring volume in the mid-face is critical because this area contributes significantly to facial balance and youthful contours. When we lose volume in the cheeks, the face can appear hollow or sag, which adds to the appearance of ageing. Mid-face treatments help combat this by providing the lift and definition needed to bring back that youthful fullness.
How Mid-Face Fillers Work
“STORY mid-face filler treatments involve using a hyaluronic acid-based gel to put back that lost volume. Our expert doctors are able to ensure this is carefully placed in the right plane, at the right depth to restore lost volume. This means you will still look like you and won’t end up with over-exaggerated features that you never had in the first place,” he assures.
“When mid-face injectable treatments are done well, they can look natural and still look like you – just a little bit more of a refreshed version. Most of my patients at STORY Southwell and STORY Marylebone want a result where they don’t look different. They actually don’t look like they’ve had treatment, they simply have a fresher appearance. That’s really the ideal result.”
